Grown was my first Tiffany D. Jackson novel, and it certainly won't be my last. Jackson uses such poise to dive into such essentially topics that I have not really explored in Young Adult books thus far. Grown explores the grooming of underage girls by adult men and how race intersects with survivors' experiences and stories. Such an essential read (and very fascinating to read during conversations surrounding the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial).
