I was recommended this book by someone who most definitely meant well, but I could not even get a third of the way through. It's a very see-through attempt at Mormon propaganda, and knowing this, I could already not take it very seriously at all. It reads like a lengthy chicken soup for the soul story. It buys into the Satanic Panic of the time and spreads misinformation about AIDS. This book could potentially be helpful for a struggling young Christian preteen, but not anyone else.
