What a great introduction to Russian literature! Ivan Turgenev's prose has such a delicate and nostalgic tone to it, it is fairly lyrical and i like it a lot. The melancholic atmosphere that the whole ending had was interesting and quite darker than i expected while reading. This short story felt like reminiscing an old trauma, and it did a good job at that.
