What can I say about this book. About this series as a whole. For one thing, ouch. It broke me and healed me at the same time. I found myself getting attached to characters I started out really not liking. And at times I felt unsure whether I ought to like them or not.

It might just be me who thinks this way, which is fine, but I feel like there's a few characters in this book who are the definition of morally grey. They don't always make good decisions, but they do it for the right reasons.

I don't always enjoy fantasy books and series like these, but I really did love this one. Between the beautiful writing style, the richly developed and detailed characters and scenes. It all just feels like safety.
