When We Left Cuba

2.5, actually.
What really frustrates me is when I'm halfway through a book, and then I'm like wow, if the author had just gone in this other direction with it, it would have been so much better. Then the rest of the book just further cements that theory...
I just really couldn't get on board with Nick. I just.... don't like him for Beatriz. If the romance part of the story had been between her and Eduardo or if the romance with Nick had been more on the back burner of a spy story, this might have higher ratings.
