Deeper Than the Dead by Tami Hoag
3.0
Somehow I read the next book before I read this one, so while I knew who the murder was the entire time, it was still fascinating to read. I have the same complaints as with the second book: because it's set in the mid 80's, there isn't the forensic technology that we have now and are used to because of TV shows like CSI. The characters are constantly bemoaning that they don't have technology yet... that "it's a few years away still"... It's like we're being beat over the head with it. I get it. Just get on with the story in the setting you gave us and we can accept it!
Some language, sex, and violence. But you'd have to accept that as part of a murder mystery.
