Tess thought that she met the man of her dreams, that is until she found out that she was just a pawn to bring down her ex-husband, at least that is what she believes. Tess and Brock have a lot they have to work through starting with the fact that she did not even know his real name when they first met. As they begin to navigate their new romance they are faced with challenges from both their ex-spouses, Brock’s younger brother, and someone else they are unsure who it is though. Will Brock be able to keep Tess safe and will they be able to overcome the past in order to move forward with their future?

Wild Man is a reread for me and it is one that I love to read no matter how many times I have read it in the past. I love Tess, she is sweet but has a sassy side. When her sassy side comes out there is nothing better than the rants that she goes on and her inability to stop herself once started. Brock as the male main character is a combination of bad boy and white knight, which is a fantastic combination. Their dynamic together is perfect, you cannot help but root for them to be together.

While Tess and Brock are great main characters the other characters that are part of their lives only adds to the fun of the book. Tess’s best friend, Martha, can be a bit on the dramatic side but adds to the story in such a fun way. I loved the entirety of Brock’s big and loud family and how overinvolved they all are.

Kristen Ashley does an incredible job through both this series, Dream Man and the Rock Chick series, of writing with humor and suspense. Her writing style keeps me coming back for re-reads and looking forward to seeing what else she will write in the future. This series can be read as stand alone books but there are references to relationships from the other books throughout so it does make it easier to know all the characters by reading the series in order. This is book 2 in the Dream Man series, and I have to say I believe that it is my favorite book in the series.
