The Upanishads by Anonymous

Very good & interesting read. I read this for my class on Hindu Traditions. Prior to reading this, I had no exposure to Hinduism. I still have a lot to learn, but I really enjoy what I've read so far. I'm not planning to convert or anything, but I appreciate it. Much of the discussion is geared toward getting to know the Self, getting to know the Lord. It discusses the concept of within and without the Self and the Self being in both (with the ultimate Self being Brahman). The belief focuses on the idea of a circular life pattern where one is continuously reborn until enlightenment is achieved. Beyond these traditional Hindu beliefs, there is also beautiful expression of what it is to be human, what it is to be good to the self and to others, and the emphasis on the fact that Lord is in everything.

"Know God, and all fetters will be loosed . . . The truth is that you are always united with the Lord. But you must know this. Nothing further is there to know."

There's also discussion of the idea that the Self can never be injured, aged, or harmed, because it is something beyond the body, beyond this world.
