Follow Me Back
by A.V. Geiger
As I started reading this book I was thinking to myself like "oh this is going to be one of those cheesy type books" boy was I wrong !
You meet Tessa Hart who has agoraphobia. She doesn't want to leave her house and the only thing that gives her joy is heartthrob celebrity Eric Thorn and her boyfriend Scott. When a username on Twitter @EricThornSucks follow Tessa that is when her world changed.
This book was really good to me. It read like a Lifetime movie. It kept me on edge but I kept thinking "what celebrity is actually going to be talking to a fan expressing their true and deepest thoughts?!"
I had no idea what was going to happen throughout the book. I enjoyed how it was told in various forms like twitter messages, police interviews and Tessa and Eric Thorne point of view. The ending really took a turn for me. I was like WAIT HOLD ON ! I need a epilogue or another chapter from Tessa. Oddly while reading this book I was thinking of Justin Bieber. I guess because of all the fan girls and how people go crazy over him.
I liked how even though this is fiction the author shows what a celebrity may be thinking. How they feel constantly being in the spotlight and getting fawned over. I didn't know a lot about agoraphobia but the way the author described it and Tessa's therapy sessions helped me understand the illness more.
At first I was going to give this book 3.5 stars just cause of the insta-love but then that ending made me bump it up to four. I NEED MORE ANSWERS ! I hope there is a sequel or like an explanation because this book definitely ended on a cliffhanger.
