Lost any chance of me taking this seriously from the beginning when he’s jerking it angrily, as one does. He’s thinking of his shy new stepsister, and asks himself menacingly, in reference to her, “Is there a mouse in my house?”
Like. That’s meant to be hot and intimidating, and not the silliest thing you’ve ever read… Be so forreal with me right now.
They then later realize that her large birth mark on her cheek is the exact shape of one of their hands. Like fated remnants of a permanent bitch slap. Which is all you need to know about the nature of their relationship.
The story is kind of interesting, if not a bit silly. Perfect if you prefer spice over plot without sacrificing personality and chemistry in the form of a bunch of messed up people finding their match.
