This book was such A rollercoaster. I don't think I've read a book like it before. There is some serious world building in this but it was done so well with nods to real life situations and history. I liked the Japanese inspitation and the interesting take on the politics and racial systems and cultures in the world. This was so emotively written and explored the complexities of family relationships, female empowerment and the strength they have working together. I cried so many times and enjoyed the happier times aswell. A brilliant book
