Burn It All Down by Nicolas DiDomizio

4.0

This book was such a fun read, despite the serious nature of the crime the mother and son accidentally commit. As a queer person, I loved that this book had a queer main character without having a coming out or homophobia storyline, unlike a lot of other queer books. That’s not to call the other books bad, but I want more stories with queer characters that don’t fall into these two categories, which this book does! By no means is the book perfect; it does rely on gay and Italian-American stereotypes at times, but that my biggest complaint. The characters start off as awful people, especially in relationships, but you do get to see growth.
