Death Beside the Seaside by T.E. Kinsey

4.0

I expected to give this five stars - I enjoy the characters and the writing very much, and I had a great time with the disappearances, murders, and derring-do in this one - but alas. The anachronisms (seriously, that character didn't say "flaked out", did he? Lie to me if you have to, just say no) and rather an anticlimactic last couple of chapters let it fall flat. (
SpoilerI was all set for an exciting escapade in the next book with Lady Emily and Flo desperately trying to capture-slash-escape from being killed by their old arch-enemy. But ... alas again. *bang*
