I really wanted to like this more than I did but unfortunately it just wasn't the right vibe. The created mythology seemed to be inspired from Arabic culture but told in similar ways to Greek mythology. I found myself confused often just by way of how the author wrote the character communication - there were many moments where I had to stop and go back to sort out something I had misinterpreted. It was also very slow though it did pick up after the halfway mark at which point it seemed the plot began to take place. And overall I'm not a big fan of books featuring 15-17 year olds in romantic relationships that result in marriage at those young ages.
