Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome
4.0
While I know some of my friends will be incredibly annoyed by this rambling story of three British men taking a boat trip down the river Thames, I thought it was hilarious. I was a little surprised at how funny I thought it was, considering it was written over a hundred years ago. And relevant--who hasn't shared the same frustration of trying to pack your toothbrush--do you pack it first so you don't forget it? Then have to dig it out of the bottom of the suitcase so you can brush your teeth before you go? Then end up carrying it in your pocket because you did indeed forget to pack it? Now that I've finally read this classic, I want to go back and read Connie Willis' To Say Nothing of the Dog so I can see how they intersect.
