I didn’t ~hate~ this but I also could’ve lived without reading it.

This is 100% no plot just vibes, but as a thriller/suspense novel, I’m not sure that works for me??

If I’m seeking out a thriller, usually I want some shit to go down. THE GUEST maintained the same pace and tempo the entire way through. As others have noted, the beginning of this book is a slog to get through; I used the assistance of audiobook to help me out. Once I reached mid-exposition, I enjoyed listening as a book I could zone in and out of as I putzed around my house.

I guess if you’re into an unlikable main character and following them via internal monologue, for the most part, you might like this one! The ending, however, was horribly anticlimactic.
