The Wayward Duke by Katrina Kendrick
emotional
3.5
The Wayward Duke is the second Katrina Kendrick book I've read.
At the beginning of the book, we are presented to The Duke and Duchess of Hastings, who have been estranged for 8 years. Although, we don't learn the reasons for the estrangement until a bit further into the book. The reason itself is heartbreaking from both points of view, in my opinion.
There is also the issue of solving the mystery of who is targeting the aristocrats in London with violent events and why.
I think the emotions that are displayed throughout the book of Julian (Duke) and Caroline (Duchess) are so well done.
