This started off with great suspense but was briefly spoiled by the fact that the situation is revealed early. It was a bit cheesy sometimes but I didn't mind, I enjoyed it. I liked the detective in this, I just wish we got a little more of a backstory from him.
I will continue to read more from Shari Lapena because I had fun with this one. (Also I can't decide if I like my books to be swept up in a neat little pile or have a little something more to the ending).
