The Futilitarians: Our Year of Thinking, Drinking, Grieving, and Reading by Anne Gisleson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.
I thought this would be more a book about books. After all, it's a philosophical book club that Gisleson writes about in The Futilitarians. Much of the chapters focus on grief, especially after the passing of her father. There's commentary on the state of New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. But much of her muscles felt aimless and lacked a coherent thread for me. And with each chapter feeling less about a book club and more about her philosophical ramblings, I couldn't keep my focus on it anymore.
