The Faceless Mage by Kenley Davidson
5.0

Is this a new favourite?
I flew through this book and when I say I literally lapped this book up, I was obsessed.
To be honest, I started this book for the plot but I stayed for the characters. How on earth this author has so talentedly written such intensity and sparks between two characters is beyond me. I honestly commend her for this.

Raven was the silent hero everyone needs. Ruthless and jaded but also so completely human (even though he's not). He was one of those characters who spoke a thousand words without saying none at all.
Lesia was strong, relatable and really had a good head on her shoulders. I liked how this book explored her vulnerability and we got a better insight into who she is and where her morals stand.
I hated the King's son - can't even remember his name because he's so irrelevant. I did want more from the real princess but I think we'll probably get that in book two from the direction this book ended.

I'd honestly recommend as I couldn't out this book down.
