“Get Out meets Parasite”? Not hardly. But creative, eerie, entertaining, definitely.
Note on the audiobook: I hated the jarring sound effect at the end of each of Parker’s chapters (the ones that start with “Document”) [I guess it’s Morse code per other reviewers].
[After reading other reviews I’m seeing that many readers found the ending unsatisfying. I disagree. I was worried it would be, but I felt like it left just enough to the imagination but answered what I wanted to know.]
