Still Clutching Maps by Christina Butcher, Bismark Pinera

5.0

I am always in awe of Butcher’s poetry. The poems in this collection seamlessly flow into one another. If I would have to describe her work on the pager I would use “rolling.” Your eyes glide across the page like graceful bowling balls - you’re welcome for that image! Despite its flowing form, Butcher does go harder in the latter half, and you’re left with a sense of this strong woman who takes no bullshit.
