this book was very middle of the road for me. i wanted a quick, spooky read, so this absolutely satisfied that itch.
i felt like parts were slow & others were underdeveloped. the ending especially, while trying to be a spooky open-ended ending, was too short & felt rushed.
i really enjoyed the overall plot and found it to be super interesting. i was very intrigued by the “be careful what you wish for” messaging throughout. i wish we got more of an explanation as to why the springs were the way that they were.
overall, this was a quick read and made me even more wary of water! i just feel a slight disappointment given i have read other books from this author that were better fleshed out than this one.
