Not as good as the first one, mainly because the plot twists all happen at the start of the book, leftover from the cliffhanger at the end of Haunting Adeline.

It's still well written though and there are some interesting plots introducing Adeline into Zade's world more but because so much happens at the start, the end felt almost anticlimactic.

I actually did get a little triggered by some of the content in this one because of my own PTSD but I did find the portrayal of it interesting in the book. I handle mine very differently to the main character so I can't be sure how accurately it portrays it, there were certainly familiar elements but a lot of differences.

It also introduced some additional stuff in the spicy scenes that I'm just not into. It doesn't phase me to read it and I certainly don't kink shame but it made those scenes less enjoyable for me personally.
