My goodness this book leaves me speechless.
It’s tough.
So much trauma and heartbreak.
I shed so many tears, my kids were asking me if I was ok.
A story in two timelines, through multiple perspectives, it might take a bit of time for some to get their head around who and when.
I was so heavily invested in these characters, their stories, journeys and the way they are told.
Taukiri and Ari are brothers and orphans with such a heartbreaking story. Taukiri leaves Ari with an Aunt after their parents die, in a not so safe environment and leaves on a soul searching journey.
Ari is young, sweet, sad and innocent.
Taukiri is lost, angry, broken.
Their stories are weaved beautifully but…Auē.
