Another amazing book by Elle Kennedy! The only reason I’m giving it 4 & 1/2 stars instead of 5, is cause it didn’t get my attention as much as all the Briar books. I just kept waiting for the Briar characters to show up.
But the book on its own is amazing! I loved Hayden & Brody! I totally understand Hayden’s reluctance to start a relationship with Brody, not wanting to repeat the life she hated growing up, it’s her past trauma that makes it hard for her. & I fully understand that, growing up with my family, I love them but there’s a lot of things that happened that makes it hard for me to trust & believe in myself & others. She’s in that same boat, & it hit close to home reading her story, & I love knowing I’m not alone.
Overall, it was a great book, & I loved how much hockey & romance we got in it!
