Really a 3.5—-there were times when it was a 3 and times when it was a 4. At times it really dragged and seemed a little too detailed. However, I liked that it didn’t become a “mystery-mystery” with Daunt and Rita as the detectives with chemistry—it could have easily. I also like that the book was like a quilt with the stories/patches sewn together by the river instead of thread.
