If you love true crime you'll love this book. Having been there for every step of the case, Vincent Bugliosi offers a unique perspective and amazing insight into what actually happened during the Manson murders and trial. I was worried about the book being a little too analytical as a result of Bugliosi being an attorney and not an author, but he did an amazing job of finding the perfect balance. He allowed the reader to feel like they were reading the actual files and notes associated with the case, while also making the language accessible and enjoyable to read. While this book might not exactly be fast-paced (because what trial is), I found myself on the edge of my seat the entire time as the case twisted and turned towards the final verdict.
