Reading this book was so pure. I have so many things to say and yet so little, because it kinda leaves me speechless.

This book takes place in a time after the war. As most of you know this book is a novel and
lgbtq+
for the people that didn't do their research.
Because the story takes place in the 60's there are a lot more struggles than usually comes with an lgbtq+ relationship.
The feelings and struggels were so well written. Not even in detail written, but so well written that there was a mutual understanding.
I could picture the whole book as a movie before me! It felt so real and I could see the scenes playing before me.

There was a huge plot for me that I didn't see coming at all.  Normally I never have this. I can always think of where the story is going or what the possible outcomes are going to be. And don't get me wrong, when I read about the things missing I did think about Eva. But the thought kinda slipt, I thought maybe things were missing or misplaced because of Eve or Neelke.

The scene where Isabel was sending Eva out the door was so so emotional. I never cry with a book and I don't get how some people cry with a book. But when I read this scene I almost cried, It didn't need to go on any longer or I had cried.

The only thing that kinda bothered me was that there were some Dutch words placed into the book. Which kinda threw me off, but also fits right with the book. Also because it take place in The Netherlands.
Anyways so well written, very emotional and the book felt very realistic. The end wasn't rushed at all, like a said very realistic.
I probably have so many more words to write, but I'll leave it at this.

This is now my favourite book!
I recommend!
