There were parts of this I loved and parts I felt like I didn’t exactly agree with, but I suppose this story is (mostly) about what it is to be a parent to a trans kid and that parenthood is difficult and complicated and has no right answers. So even the parts I didn’t love, e.g.
the rapid switches between he/him and she/her pronouns/the switching between the names and that I wish it had been clearer that it is right to support your trans kid to be themselves
, I think it was honest to what the story was and what the characters believed.
