Old Enough by Haley Jakobson

Omg the writing voice, omg the internal thoughts, omg the friendship, omg WES, omg the growth.

I loved this book so much? I was enraptured right from the start — the narrator of the audiobook, Jenna Kray = favorite voice ever??

The voice of the writing was perfect. I laughed and teared up more than a few times during this story. What I particularly connected with was the idea of friendship and how it’s a relationship not viewed as lasting as a romantic one like marriage, but the end of one can gut you just as much, if not more.

Candy’s one-liners killed me. Wes and Sav’s interactions? I was giggling like a school girl.

This books is beautiful and traumatic and raw.
