4.5/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.
Content Warnings for book: Noncon, dubcon, attempted cheating (between MCs), assault
Kink: Erotic blood drinking, nonconsensual somnophilia, bondage
Doyun and Gangwoo. This is a boss/employee relationship, but Doyun is a half-vampire who feeds on blood or sexual essence. An accidental text and some dubious pressure from Gangwoo leads to them becoming sex friends. It’s clear, though, that Gangwoo has had it for Doyun for awhile and so begins the pursuit. Of course, Gangwoo is just a bit obsessive and toxic so it’s not done in the normal manner.
I didn’t really care about Jooyung and whats-his-face. Considering the latter seemed just kind of an ass and in the way of the main couples happiness, I didn’t really want to read much about them on page and often skimmed their sex scenes. I felt bad for Jooyung and what all happened to him, though.
I would honestly say even more than the romance, my favorite part of this was the Jooyung/Doyun father and son relationship. I was so happy when they finally talked and made up, and it wasn’t a thread just left to hang. Depictions of good family relationships like that are the best.
The pacing was a bit interesting overall in the story. It went from sorta soft and cute to very tense and angsty fast, and then weirdly anticlimactic with everything tied up neatly. I’m happy that it all worked out but because of the off pacing, I couldn’t exactly make this a five star.
The art changes pretty drastically over the chapters - it seems the artist gains some experience and skill, and I think that’s pretty awesome. It’s really pretty in the later half.

”If anyone asks, tell them you have a rich lover with a killer body.
“Are you sure it’s not a spoiled lover who gets jealous easily?”
“That’s fine too.”
