This graphic novel is pretty short, but the author does a good job at telling a concise but full story. The characters have very little dialogue but manage to convey emotion perfectly. The plot is simple in structure but contained everything necessary for a satisfying ending. I didn’t realize how much violence would be in the story, and some of the images are gross, but it didn’t feel gratuitous. If anything, comparing the likable animals to the gruesome acts they’re programmed to commit, drove home the themes, so this violence was necessary in that sense.

Rating: 10/10. Not because it’s the best thing I’ve ever read, but because at the moment I can’t think of anything I’d really change about it.
