The Woman Destroyed by Simone de Beauvoir

5.0

My first taste of Simone de Beauvoir: 4.7 stars.

Mandatory angry feminist literature. The pure unadulterated female rage this book - particularly the namesake story - brought out in me. That anger eventually turning into sadness. ”I am afraid”. Me too.

I love the first story, I heavily understand (maybe too much) the second story, but the last story is what sealed it.

P.S. There is not enough obscenities in the world to throw at Maurice - and men in general.
