The Boy Who Loved Wicked by C.P. Harris
3.0

Phoenix was 18years old senior in high school when one day, the philosophy professor - Sebastian Wicked, went into his classroom to become their temporary teacher. The teacher turned out to be his neighbor as well so they spent some evenings together where forbidden love bloomed between the two. I started from liking the story to hating it to being indifferent about it to liking it again. The story started with Phoenix still grieving from losing his father and Sebastian in the brink of his divorce. I have mixed feelings about the age gap. At first it was intriguing to read about but then it felt like Wicked turned manipulative emotionally against Phoenix (eg. constantly ask Phoenix what he wants to assure himself what he himself wanted was right). But I kinda really like the story after the plot twist. Phoenix amending his relationship with his mother was great to read about as well as him journeying out of comfort zone to find himself. That is what raise the book to three stars for me. Also love the Six Pack gang - especially Theory, Danny and Mason.
