Mostly relaxing like the other books in this series, with a few triggers, some sweet scenes and the main focus on the family relationships and getting the inn ready but with some moderate drama by a powerful mea grandma on the Council that is a big bully. As usual for this series the writer drags on with description sometimes relaying a conversation 3 or 4 times unnecessarily as news travels from one character and the other 3 get filled in. If your mind wanders a lot listening to audiobooks, then this book won't have you skipping backwards very often. The audiobook series have each chapter narrated with multiple narrators for some unnecessary reason, some better than others,it doesn't cause too much confusion though as usually the characters names or who they are eg. "Mia's brother" are repeated, some may find this annoying others helpful.
Each book in the serie can be read alone as bits of the previous books are summarised.
