Crazy Stupid Bromance
by Lyssa Kay Adams
This is easily my favorite in the series so far.
As soon as I got approved for the ARC I shoved all obligations aside and stayed up WAY past my bedtime to read. I inhaled this installment in two sittings because I could.NOT.stop.reading.
CRAZY STUPID BROMANCE revolves around a Best Friends to Lovers trope and wow did it work! Noah and Alexis's slow burn evolution felt genuine and so well cared for. Their friends are not-so-casually nudging them to explore being more than friends and that enthusiasm had me shipping them hard from the get-go.
What I LOVE about this book:
* I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. There is certainly plenty of com in this rom-com. The Russian alone had me in stitches.
* There are some heavier issues at play, but I love how Adams weaves in those elements while still delivering a fun, well-developed romance with a happy ending.
* Return characters- while this can be a stand alone book the backstory of series regulars really adds depth.
* The dynamics of the male book club members. I love that they hold each other accountable while actively working to flip the narrative.
* Beefcake the Cat
Thanks to Netgalley and Berkley for the review copy.
