I received an e-arc of this book through Netgalley, thank you for giving me a chance to review in exchange for an honest review with my own thoughts and opinions.

I first found this series as a deal on booking to get free book back in 2014 and it stuck with me so much that when I saw an Anniversary edition on Netgalley my finger clicked request before I even fully processed this.

What’s special about this anniversary edition is that there are beautiful pictures of places in the book and scenes that I can only imagine would be even more beautiful in print. I’m definitely going to have to get my hands on this set, for the artwork.

However regarding the book itself, the reason I love this series so much is that the premise is so unique. A girl that is part demon, part Angel (with a dragon’s tail) can move souls to Heaven or Hell, and has to fight evil alongside her hot, handsome, and incredibly handsome boyfriend who is the Prince of the part human part Angel race called Thrax. The heroine is a strong, clever women who can fight her own battles and whose moral compass is delightful in that although she always giving chances but isn’t afraid to make the decision. That is extremely evident in this book especially.

In this book specifically, we have Mya learning the ropes of being the Scala and all the challenges that come with being one of the most powerful beings, and those who would wish to take her place. I loved this series and will continue on, because there are some sequels I did not know about!!
