Too much of this book felt... boring, I guess. Which is a bit strange, considering what was happening, but there was no real sense of urgency, and too many contrived convenient escapes and such. I dunno. This series has been a bit up and down in general, and this book is far from the worst, but I was hoping for more from this one. I'm not sure if I'm going to bother reading the parallel novel, since I've read that it's basically the exact same story with not much extra info.
