GAH it’s books like this that are the reason i love reading so much.
an old man stopped my on the bus to ask what i was reading bc i was laughing so hard.
i couldn’t put it down and ended up crying at work.
i have no notes, nothing i would change, emily austin does it again.
god this book was queer and funny and so so real. i think i love emily austin’s books so much because i feel so seen. god, enid was so real for thinking she’s a bad person, because don’t we all? maybe some seriously self assured people feel that they’re good people all the time, but i have yet to meet a single one of them. god, and aren’t we all just looking for community? to know we’re not bad and even when we are and prove ourselves right we are always searching to have someone behind us tell us they love us anyway?! and boy what a gift it is when we do!
oh my god i want to start it all over again. easily one of my favorite books of all time. emily austin, what a gift you gave to me in this book, thank you, thank you, thank you.
