New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
2.0
I really had to slog through this one. First, I had some serious problems with our lovely ingenue. Girl is thick as molasses. I just couldn't buy the premise that Bella would be instantly convinced that Edward had lost interest in her. And it took her for. ever. to figure out that Jake was a werewolf.
Also there was a lot of melodrama-- of course that was true in the first book as well, but I can tolerate melodrama when it pertains to romance, not so much when it pertains to emo angst.
In addition, hello? End of the second book and she's still not a vampire?
I'm going to read book 3, but if it's not a whole lot better, that's it for me, I'm out.
