Stargazer by Claudia Gray

5.0

Pretty darn decent! Gray avoids the name-brand-dropping faux pas of most new YA writers, and manages to communicate a modicum of depth and meaning in the plot and a few elements (like deconstructing the dramatic flaws of Romeo & Juliet, and, consequently, teen fiction, including her own book) such as likable and memorable second-string players (Raquel, Vic, Balthazar, Ranulf, Dana, and even the requisite mean-girl Courtney)
