This was a beautiful exploration of grief and the unconditional (and selfish) love of this family. I loved the casual queer relationships, and there’s a focus on lust as a form of hunger which shouldn’t be shamed. The first two POVs have such a raw and palpable sense of grief, loss and loneliness. The prose was beautiful and well done. I can’t wait to see what the author publishes next.
