Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six
by Lisa Unger
Audiobook-
Kinda a throwaway murder-mystery sorta deal- I enjoyed listening to it, but it’s wildly implausible and doesn’t really leave the reader much room to figure out what’s going on. With the best of this genre there’s some indication or hint, or later chapters fill in the blanks/alter perception of previous chapters. With this the antagonist just feels kinda random, and the characters toe the line between cookie cutter and potentially having some depth. The message on family is nice, but idk how Hanna still deals with Cricket. There are a lot of better books out there in this genre, but there’s 10 times as many worser ones, too.
