The Lawrence Browne Affair by Cat Sebastian

4.0

Lovely! Really really lovely!! My heart is so very full. I enjoy getting to read books where protagonists struggle and learn to deal with anxiety, and are given the room and chance to cultivate relationships. I really loved how quickly Georgie adjusted to accommodating Laurence, how natural it was for him. Also, books that centre around a theme of 'chartacter x isn't ~crazy~, it's this other thing that's troubling them!' tend to be a bit ableist in and of themselves, so it was nice for Georgie to reiterate to Laurence a couple times that even if Laurence was 'mad', that wouldn't make him like his father and brother, who were literally evil.

There were a bunch of other things I really enjoyed: a big friendly dog, a cute kid, really really really fricking sweet romance, fun banter, and some exciting intrigue. Very much enjoyed this one!
