A Dance with Dragons: After the Feast by George R.R. Martin

3.0

I'm up to speed. Martin is clearly in a bit of a mid-epic lull, he's taken two huge books to bridge plot lines which could have been achieved in a quarter of that length. Still enough intrigue, plotting and murder to keep the pages turning, and the scale of the adventures is marvellous. Things are well poised for a conclusion now - but Martin will have to make that leap into the end of his tale.
