The Crooked Sixpence by Jennifer Bell

5.0

I have not read this for a while, but I love this book. It’s one of my comfort trilogies, one that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Once I reread this, I will give a proper review

Edit: I love this book so so much. It’s definitely one of my favourite series ever, and perfect to read with hot chocolate. I flew through this book, loving every moment, the aesthetic of Lundinor, Hobsmatch, Uncommon things. If there’s one world, other than the Grishaverse, that I wished was real, it would be the Uncommon world. I loved it! Everything was so colourful and the descriptions so rich and beautiful.

I like Scratch a lot. He’s such a great side character and I am once again guilty of becoming rather attached to another side character. No regrets. I’m also obsessed with the other bells in this book. The street bells, guard bells, HELLS BELLS. The latter were the best.

The humour in this book was adorable, sweet and so funny. I felt myself smiling multiple times while reading.

I also really enjoyed the plot. I just loved the idea and it makes such a great book.

10/10 recommend.
