To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
5.0
I’m really glad I read this one again, I appreciate it a lot more now than I could have in high school. My memory of the ending was pretty hazy, so it was nice to finish it ‘for the first time’ again.
The story is told through the eyes of Scout, a charming little girl from a mostly charming little Southern town. A lot of the book is about Scout’s growing up, what she comes to realize about the world (a world a little removed from our own, but a lot of it still holds true) through the people in her town. The book is filled with amazing characters, mostly good people with flaws, which I really liked, and really that’s the point, most people are good, but flawed.
You’re probably familiar with this anyway, so I’ll leave it at that.
But if you are thinking of rereading this, then do it.
