This was a new to me author. As an American I found it hard to read at first due to the difficult to pronounce character names and places etc. But then I just renamed them and it seemed to move along perfectly then. I had the story figured out by page 96 so it was just a matter of finishing it to see if I was right at that point. And I was. I personally found the subject matter hard to get through as it dealt with assisted suicide something I feel very strongly about having had to care for my mother during her ALS battle. I had to keep putting the book down as it kept bringing up terrible memories for me. So just know that's a trigger warning for you if you've had to watch a loved one suffer. This will bring it back to you. All that said I did enjoy the book so I will give it a solid 3 stars.
