Easily 5 stars! This book just gifted me one of my newest favorite badass female main characters. Ikenna was everything to me! I loved the world, the war houses, hierarchies, and history of this place. I laughed, cried, blushed, and hollered while reading this book. Mrs. Davenport definitely made it do what it do in this, one of my top Black woman authored sci-fi fantasies for sure. I can’t wait to see our gworl, Kenna, get into it in The Blood Gift sequel! 🤎
